BEST BLUETOOTH WIRELESS HEADPHONES IN INDIA
1. Boat Rockerz 450
The boAt Rockerz 450 is part of the company’s elite Rockerz series, and delivers moderately well. It is very appealingly designed and comes in a range of solid colours. The earmuffs are very comfortable and do not cause too much irritation. The immersion and noise cancellation is decent for an on-ear headphone. The headband is very flexible and accommodates all head sizes. The extenders for the muffs are pretty fragile though, so do take some precaution.
The audio profile is typical for a budget headphone – oodles of bass with some care for the rest of the spectrum. Higher range treble sounds a little muddy at higher volumes, but otherwise are delivered well enough. The five hour active playing time and signal strength are highlights, with clear audio transmitted effortlessly even through a thick wall making a great contender as the best wireless headphones in India. The cherry on top is the dual connectivity allowing you to control the headset through two devices. Game, set and match.
2. JBL Infinity Glide 500
The Infinity Glide is a solid product from JBL that is perhaps more functional than pretty. The headphone has some comfortable earmuffs but, as the headband is not very flexible, are very tight around the ears for bigger heads. The audio is quite immersive, but noise cancellation is nothing to write home about. The volume controls are very prominent and easy to use, though, and they support Google Assistant and Siri, just like the Rockerz 450. It is more lightweight, however, and easier to lug around.
Coming to the audio profile, the Glide is surprisingly balanced. While bass is still a priority, the other sounds also sound decent making it another choice for best bluetooth wireless headphones. The volume is pretty low, however, when compared to the boAt product. The signal strength is adequate while battery life is pretty good at about 10 hours. At peak volume. Call quality isn’t too terrible but the mic is not as great as you’d expect it to be. All in all, not a pretty good second place recommendation.

HOW WE TESTED

Wireless Connectivity – Does the phone pair easily with the headphones ? How far is the connectivity ? Is there a break during phone notifications ? Does it re-pair quickly ?
Controls – What onboard controls does the headphones have? Are they easily accessible and identifiable? Are there a volume controls and microphone mute function?
Brand Reliability and Warranty – are also important. We shy away from very new or unknown brands that have no customer support because if anything goes wrong, you have nobody to contact for assistance.
In addition to the above testing criteria, we also factored in price to find the best value for money rather than just going for the cheapest one.
OTHER BUDGET WIRELESS HEADSETS (OVER-EAR) WORTH CONSIDERING
Boat Rockerz 510 – The boAt Rockerz 510 certainly looks like nothing else on the market, with a unique, sporty, game-influenced design. It has a few outstanding features – the console on the headset is very useful and has tonnes of controls, and the headset having an aux option is great as it gives a better listening experience and also helps if you don’t have a charging source nearby. The downside, however, are also twofold – one, the battery is not very good, in terms of playback, and two, the audio itself is a little too bass heavy. Plus, the cushioning isn’t of the best quality. AMAZON | FLIPKART
JBL T460BT – So-so design apart, the JBL T460BT is a pretty solid headphone that rises above a few standards yet flatters to deceive. The materials are average, with the cushioning feeling sub-standard. The console is well designed, but lacks the bells and whistles of the competition. Otherwise, the JBL is a class above: the soundscape is much better but also incorporates fantastic amounts of bass while trying to stay balanced. The battery life is also on par with the rest, clocking in at 8-10 hours of playback. It is a little more expensive, but the audio profile makes it worth buying. AMAZON FLIPKART
boat rockerz 400 – The boAt Rockerz 400 is definitely the most portable of this entire category; it is extremely light and has two folds for easy carrying. The materials don’t feel very premium, but it makes up for that with some solid performance. While the headband is sem-flexible, the earmuffs swivel and provide some comfort. This is a loud, loud headset and has dedicated itself to providing bass, yet somehow isn’t bad at trebles and mids either. The aux connectivity is a nice feature, allowing you to use it without charge. The mic is a little substandard, however. AMAZON | FLIPKART
Motorola Escape 210 – The Escape 210 is by no means a bad product, but it just doesn’t stack up in comparison with the rest of the competition. The design, while generic, incorporates all of the elements required including a pretty good console. The problems lie in the fragility of the headset: the extenders, and cushioning feel a little cheap and irritate you after extended usage. The reason the Escape 210 is here at all is because its audio profile is AMAZING for a budget headphone. If only Moto improved its build, including the battery life, and it would be a stellar product. AMAZON | FLIPKART
